_The Boy Who Was Sacrificed_ is a legend of the Pawnee nation highlighting the belief that everything happens for a reason according to the will of _Ti-ra'wa_ ("Father Above"), the supreme creator, and how even the smallest creatures have an essential part to play in the divine plan and are as worthy of respect as any other.
