Does anybody have any pets that have history-related names?
Here are my two birds, Caesar (yellow) and Cleopatra/Cleo (blue).
Caesar is a happy little guy who is obsessed with his Cleopatra, 
while Cleopatra just sits there, silently judging and giving incredibly good side-eye for somebody who is the size of an apple.
That sounds very historicall accurate. Are they secretly re-enacting history? Watch out for adders… 
Our Phileas does bear the same name as Saint Phileas, Bishop of Thmuis who became a martyr under the emperor Diocletian but to be honest he was actually named after a fictional character, Phileas Fogg, the hero of Around the world in 80 days by Jules Verne (Phileas Dog in our case). Although he hasn’t been around the world yet, he has at least visited 5 different countries!

And I feel Phileas and I are old friends. I hear about his antics often.
Many years ago, we found two cats and I named one “Ernest” after Hemingway and the other “Hadley” after Hemingway’s first wife. This was a mistake.
I was a huge Hemingway fan when I was younger and nothing tarnishes a hero as quickly as yelling, “Ernest! Get The Hell Off The Counter!” or “Hadley! Stop Shredding The Drapes!”
So that ended my history-related pet names. My two hounds are Sammie and Jamie. Not named after any historical personage. And I usually refer to them as Hound 1 and Hound 2.
I do have a closet desire, though, to name a dog “Tikulti-Ninurta” after the Assyrian king - just so I could yell “Tikulti-Ninurta! Stop It!” in some public park. But I think I’d just wind up regretting that as much as I did when I named a cat Jesus H. Christ. Not intentionally. That name just stuck from the number of times I yelled it.
Haha. I must admit, I giggle every time I say something like “Cleopatra, stop attacking Caesar” or “Leave Cleopatra alone, Caesar. Let her have some breathing space.”
Tikulti-Ninurta? Love it! You should totally name a dog that.
