We must pass on the love of history to our children! My child is 9 and is currently reading “The Story of the World” series by Susan Wise Bauer. She absolutely loves it. I was wondering if anyone has any history book recommendations for elementary or middle school children. Thanks!
The Story of the World by Susan Wise Bauer is what I would have recommended based on the title of the thread. However, you’ve clearly got that covered. Here are a few more recommendations in the historical fiction category, suitable for kids:
- Swallow’s Dance by Wendy Orr
- The Jericho River by David Tollen
- Boris by Jaap ter Haar
- The Long Ships by Frans G. Bengtsson
