I’m a new member of. WHE. I did a search for articles on the Troubles but I haven’t found anything. I narrowed my search to Ireland with dates range of 1900-1980 and nothing popped up. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Scott. I’m afraid we have no articles as yet on Irish history in the modern period. We never actively exclude topics, gaps exist merely because we have not yet got around to covering that particular slice of history. The encyclopedia began by covering only ancient history, then expanded to medieval history, and finally to all history prior to 1999. For this reason, there is much more depth in terms of ancient history, but we hope to rectify this over time.
Thank you Mark. At least I know it wasn’t something in my search parameters that was not giving me relevant articles. I hope that WHE can explore this subject. I was looking into British colonialism and came to a dead end when I couldn’t find articles on Ireland.
